Where we are

Headquartered in the UK, we’re a global business with brands that have a presence in around 120 countries. You may know us as Imperial Brands or in specific countries you may know us by our entity brand names such as Imperial Tobacco, Reemtsma, Altadis, Seita, and ITG Brands.

Our business strategy drives a clear focus on our top five markets of the UK, USA, Germany, Spain and Australia, with each offering an exciting and diverse range of opportunities. But no less important is our significant employee base across the remainder of Europe – including in Poland, home to factories, enabling functions and our new Global Supply Chain hub – as well as in north and sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Our priority markets

United Kingdom

With offices in London and Bristol, the UK is home to many of our central functions as well as the national sales and marketing teams. Our next generation product innovation facility in Liverpool brings together consumers, product developers and third-party partners in a single collaborative space.

Germany image

Germany

We have a historic presence in the city of Hamburg, home to the teams that oversee our activities not only in Germany but also several neighbouring markets. Our factory in Langenhagen is one of our leading manufacturing facilities, a technically advanced site which produces brands for markets across Europe and beyond.

Spain image

Spain

Altadis, our Spanish business with a rich heritage, is headquartered in Madrid. Our 'local jewel' brands include Nobel, Ducados and Fortuna. And in Cantabria you'll find our dedicated European mass market cigar factory, which manufactures brands such as Farias for the Spanish and French markets among others.

Australia

Our activities in Australia began in 1999 when, following a merger between two competitors, we acquired several tobacco and rolling paper brands. We've since introduced the likes of JPS, L&B and Riverstone, and today the market is one of our most important profit contributors. Our Australasian operations are run from our local headquarters in iconic Sydney.

USA image

USA

We direct significant resource and energy towards ITG Brands, our standalone business in the US. Headquartered in Greensboro in North Carolina – alongside a cigarette factory – ITG Brands manages a portfolio of well-known tobacco brands which include Winston, Kool and USA Gold cigarettes as well as Backwoods cigars. Our vaping brand blu is also available in the US.

Our global reach

Paris is home to our historic French business Seita, where it all began for the iconic Gauloises brand, and Amsterdam is a significant base for many of our people working for our next generation product unit. Rizla papers are made at our dedicated facility in Belgium and many of our fine cut tobacco brands are produced at our factory in the Netherlands.

Central Eastern Europe image

We've a strong national sales presence in several markets in the region including Hungary and Poland as well as the Czech Republic, where our heated tobacco system Pulze and iD first launched in Europe.

South East Europe image

South East Europe

Headquarted in the vibrant capital cities of Rome and Athens, two of our most important tobacco and next generation product markets in this region are Italy and Greece. We also operate a sizeable manufacturing facility in Skopje in North Macedonia, which produces cigarettes for export to a range of neighouring and global market destinations.

Nordics

Snus is an oral tobacco product with a long history of use in this region, and the Skruf and Knox brands made at our factory in Sävsjö are popular in both Sweden and neighbouring Norway. The site also produces a new generation of tobacco-free alternatives, which are gaining traction in the Nordics and in a handful of other European markets.

Middle east image

Middle East and Asia

Our presence across a number of markets in the Middle East is managed from our regional headquarters in Dubai. Saudia Arabia is an important market for our Davidoff cigarette brand, and the same is true at the other end of the continent in Taiwan, where we also operate a sizeable factory making cigarettes for the domestic and export markets.

Africa image

Africa

Our significant business in Morocco includes a manufacturing site and, in common with other parts of north Africa, it's an important market for our Gauloises brand. We have strong and established positions in several markets in sub-Saharan Africa too. Our comprehensive activities in Madagascar include our own tobacco growing operations.
