Talent programme celebrates diversity

In June 2018 we launched the Emerging Potential Programme (EPP), a global programme designed to accelerate the development of rising talent across our business.

This innovative programme, created in conjunction with the world-renowned Harvard Business School, is focused on helping individuals develop the capabilities they need to contribute towards the future success of our business.

Over the course of six months, more than 50 participants experienced virtual learning and took part in eight live facilitated webinars which covered an array of key topics including the power of diverse teams to increase performance and the critical nature of an agile approach to management.

The participant group itself was evenly split by gender, with an equal number of people under and over 30. The group was also primarily made up of non-managers, most of which have worked for Imperial for less than five years. Since the launch of the EPP we have already seen great progress with several participants increasing their responsibilities, changing roles and sharing their learnings with colleagues.

The EPP celebrates diversity and talent and demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our global talent pipeline. Given the success of the first EPP, we will be running another programme in 2019.
