Creating workplace excellence

Our business in Taiwan has again won recognition for creating workplace excellence and promoting greater employee engagement.

Imperial Tobacco Taiwan Limited (ITTL) has been named by HR Asia as one of its 'Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2020'.

This is the second successive year that ITTL has earned this prestigious award from HR Asia, which describes itself as Asia’s most authoritative publication for senior HR officials.

HR Asia awards are judged solely on employee feedback, with their engagement levels measured through the publication’s proprietary 'Total Engagement Assessment Model'.

Accepting a trophy in an online video to showcase the Taiwanese element of the 2020 awards, ITTL General Manager Yuri Kurta said: “Our people are our biggest asset. Every employee plays a key part in the company’s success … this award is a well-deserved recognition for their hard work, loyalty, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

“I’m really proud and feel privileged to lead one of the ‘Best Companies to Work for in Asia’.”

Asia Cluster General Manager Patrick Ganguly added: “It is exciting and fulfilling to be recognised for the second successive year by HR Asia as one of its 'Best Companies to Work for in Asia’. It demonstrates our ongoing ability and focus on our people through some challenging times.

“Congratulations Taiwan and a big thank you to the team, in particular our HR team for continuing to relentlessly drive our commitment to investing in our people.”
