Alison continues to lead the business through a transformative period in its history, having significantly simplified and reshaped the business to strengthen its long-term potential.
In her nine years as CEO, Alison has driven a sharper focus on Imperial’s strongest brands and markets, halving the number of cigarette brands to ensure a higher quality of growth, with Asset Brands now accounting for two thirds of the Group’s tobacco net revenue.
She also significantly enhanced Imperial’s presence in the highly profitable USA market with the $7 billion acquisition of brands and assets in 2014 and has been the architect of the launch and development of Imperial’s next generation products business, which represents a substantial additive opportunity for Imperial.
Alison joined the Company in 1999 and, through a number of senior roles prior to her appointment as Chief Executive, made a substantial contribution to Imperial's international expansion.
Appointed Director in July 2007 and appointed Chief Executive in May 2010.
In October 2019 it was announced that Alison will step down from the role of CEO and from the Board once a suitable successor is found.
